One eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater..
Halloween this year was pretty fun again. We had the kemps party that is always a blast, dress up for work on Halloween and wait around for trick or treaters. This time we only waiting a couple hours.. then after only a single kid at the door we decided to parade Connie around and take her on a walk in her costume… No lights on, on our entire block! These trunk or treats are leaving Halloween boring :/ Then we decided to do our own trick or treat and visit Troy, Kalynn, and Kipper at their house and then go visit my parents house since the kids were going to be there. The girls loved Connie and we played and took pictures.. then Connie ran over Liam.
That was the end of the night. No more fun. But the kids were all super cute as usual ![]()
Summer with the Watsons
Strawberry Reservoir
Troy, Eric, and myself have been trying to go fishing together the entire summer, and we finally made it happen this weekend. We headed out to Strawberry Reservoir to catch some fish and crawdad… but no fish were seen, so we decided we would toss the poles and just grab the crawdad. Easiest catch ever! We would just throw some liver in the water and they would swarm! We would just reach in and grab them or slowly ,move a bucket toward them and crab a couple. Troy was a crazy that night grabbing and just throwing them in any direction having the time of his life… lets just say I had to drive home
It was a great night! It was great to see Eric again! I hope it’s not too long before we see him again.
Mary Ellens Gulch
We only camped out at Mary Ellens Gulch once this year, but it was a good and spontaneous one
It was Connies first time up there. She loved to run and crush through the brush and get a drink for the stream. It was only us this time and it was really nice. The leaves were all starting to change and it was beautiful. Especially gorgeous making our way out through Midway. This is the perfect place for a quick camp trip ![]()

Oregon and Washington.. Again :)
Another trip to Oregon and Washington is exactly what we needed. I’ll try to keep this sweet and simple. We stayed at Cape Lookout in Oregon this year. Troy, the hounder, and myself went on a few hikes, tromped through mud, visited numerous new beaches, poked at some wildlife, played on our beach, almost got eaten by bears, visited new lighthouses, ate at new restaurants, picked berries, nearly froze to death, rode bikes in the sunset, and just took in the view.
